I spent the past few days in Blackpool as a delegate to the biennial National Union of Journalists’ conference.
The Lancashire city has certainly seen better days, but I liked it; it still has a friendly feel of a working people’s playground, and the spring sunshine made it a pleasure to indulge in a stroll along the prom.
